Speculation suggests Trump may seek a rapid exit to protect his party ahead of the November midterm elections. Meanwhile, Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, emphasized that the operation would continue “as long as necessary” until objectives are achieved.
Iran has vowed to retaliate against attacks. Ali Fadavi, adviser to the Revolutionary Guards’ commander, warned that US and Israeli forces could face a long-term war of attrition. He added such conflict could damage the American and global economies and degrade military capabilities.
