TEHRAN – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday commended Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his firm position against what he described as Israeli aggression. In an official statement, Pezeshkian called Erdogan’s clear and resolute stance “commendable” and highlighted Turkey’s longstanding support for the Muslim world.
President Pezeshkian added, “We will continue to move forward together on this dignified path with the grace of God,” signaling close diplomatic alignment between Tehran and Ankara. The remarks followed Erdogan’s own statements pledging that Turkiye would use all available resources to support peace efforts in Iran.

Erdogan noted that the ongoing conflict has affected the region, and the Turkish government is actively working to minimize the economic impact of the war domestically. His comments underscore Turkiye’s role as a mediator and stabilizing influence amid rising tensions.
Meanwhile, the United States has attempted diplomatic outreach. President Donald Trump recently sent a peace plan to Iran and expressed optimism about ending nearly a month of warfare, while Tehran announced it would allow “non-hostile” oil vessels to transit the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Despite these tentative diplomatic signs, violence continues. Iranian missiles have caused injuries in Israel, which has vowed to press multiple fronts and secure control over parts of southern Lebanon. Trump has claimed that negotiations are ongoing with Iran, though Tehran has not publicly confirmed any formal talks.
