Ishaq Dar, Turkey’s Fidan discuss regional tensions

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday to discuss the latest regional developments. Both leaders emphasized the importance of sustained diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to peace and stability.

During the call, the two ministers agreed to continue mutual consultations on regional matters and maintain close communication in the future. They highlighted the need for coordinated diplomacy to address ongoing challenges and promote stability in the region.

This discussion follows Ishaq Dar’s recent telephone call with European Union High Representative and Vice-President Kaya Callas, in which the officials exchanged views on current regional and global developments.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, both talks focused on reviewing recent developments, assessing changing dynamics, and emphasizing diplomacy as essential for reducing tensions. Ishaq Dar stressed that negotiations and diplomatic engagement are crucial for maintaining peace and stability.
