The match marks a historic moment as RawalPindiz make their debut appearance in the PSL, facing Zalmi for the first time in the tournament’s history. Zalmi, champions of the 2017 edition, entered the contest with a balanced side led by captain Babar Azam, while RawalPindiz are captained by Mohammad Rizwan.

Opting to bat first, RawalPindiz aim to set a competitive total on what is expected to be a batting-friendly pitch. Their lineup features a mix of experienced international players and local talent, including Sam Billings, Daryl Mitchell, and Naseem Shah, providing both stability and firepower.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi boast a strong combination of batting depth and all-round options. Alongside Babar Azam, the team includes Mohammad Haris, Kusal Mendis, and Michael Bracewell, who are expected to play key roles in both batting and bowling departments.

The contest is being closely watched as fans are eager to see how the new franchise performs against an established side like Zalmi. The presence of high-profile players on both teams adds further excitement to the encounter.
