Published on: March 31, 2026 1:01 AM

The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Monday recorded statements from 28 witnesses in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, as proceedings continued before the trial court.

The hearing focused on cross-examination of key family members, while the court called more witnesses for the next date.

The case was heard by District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

During the proceedings, state counsel Raja Naveed Hussain appeared before the court and presented updates on the progress of the trial.

The prosecution completed cross-examination of three witnesses. Among them were Sana Yousaf’s mother, Farzana Yousaf, her father, Yousaf Hassan, and her paternal aunt, Bibi Latifa Shah. Their statements were recorded and examined in court as part of the ongoing trial process.

According to court proceedings, a total of 28 witnesses have so far recorded their statements in the case.

The court directed that more witnesses be presented at the next hearing to continue the recording of evidence. The judge emphasized the need to proceed with remaining testimonies in an orderly manner.

At the end of the hearing, the court adjourned further proceedings until March 31. The case will resume with additional witnesses expected to appear before the court.
