Following the Chief Minister’s directives, the Punjab Health Department has initiated proceedings against senior doctors, postgraduate trainees and hospital management over violations of patient privacy, professional misconduct and administrative negligence.

Show-cause notices have been issued to relevant senior officials, while a formal reference has also been forwarded to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for disciplinary action against five postgraduate doctors.

The doctors facing proceedings for allegedly recording a patient’s video during surgery include Dr. Tayyaba, Dr. Maham, Dr. Zainab, Dr. Ayesha, and Dr. Essa. All individuals involved have been directed to appear in person or submit their responses within the stipulated time.
