National Assembly Session to Resume Today in Islamabad

National Assembly Session

ISLAMABAD – The National Assembly (NA) will reconvene today at 5:00 PM at the Parliament House in Islamabad, with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq presiding over the session.

The National Assembly Secretariat has issued an 18-point agenda for the day, which includes the question hour, calling attention notices, and crucial legislative business.

Among the items, a calling attention notice regarding rising fees in educational institutions in Islamabad will be discussed. Additionally, the Carriage by Air (Amendment) Bill, 2026 is expected to be presented, along with the National Fund for Culture Heritage (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) (Amendment) Bill, 2026 will also come up for approval. Semi-annual reports from several standing committees will be submitted during the session.

Other agenda points include a calling attention notice regarding shortfalls in tax revenue during the first eight months of the current fiscal year, various parliamentary objections, and expressions of gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to both Houses on March 2, 2026.
