According to Australian media reports, the incident took place in Sydney’s Maroubra area, where police conducted a roadside check. Warner is said to have stopped his vehicle before reaching the testing point, but officers proceeded to carry out a breath analysis test.

Authorities claim the test returned a positive result, leading to formal charges being filed against the cricketer. He was subsequently taken into custody by New South Wales Police and transported to a local police station following the incident.

Reports indicate that Warner has since been released, but he is scheduled to appear before a court on May 7 to face the charges. Further legal proceedings are expected to determine the outcome of the case.

The development comes during an ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League, where Warner has been serving as captain of Karachi Kings. The experienced opener had traveled to Australia on a short break from the tournament and was expected to rejoin his team on April 9 for the remaining fixtures.

Warner’s alleged legal troubles could potentially impact his availability for upcoming matches, depending on court proceedings and travel considerations. However, no official statement has yet been issued by the player or the franchise regarding the situation.
