Lahore Qalandars suffer major injury setback in PSL

Published on: April 11, 2026 10:13 PM

Lahore Qalandars have suffered a major setback as a key foreign batter has been ruled out of the tournament. The development matters as it weakens the team’s squad balance in the ongoing league. The decision directly affects Lahore Qalandars’ remaining matches in the competition.

The player, Parvez Hossain Emon, has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Team officials confirmed he sustained the injury during a match against Multan Sultans. Moreover, medical scans revealed a ligament tear that required full rest. As a result, he has been released from the squad.

The injury occurred after a collision during a recent PSL match, which led to immediate discomfort. Furthermore, doctors advised complete rest to ensure proper recovery. Therefore, the team management decided not to retain him for the remainder of the tournament. This decision aims to protect the player’s long-term fitness.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars are now considering replacement options to fill the gap. The management is working on finalizing a suitable foreign player soon. In addition, the team hopes to maintain performance despite the setback. However, the absence of a key batter may impact batting strength.
