In a statement shared on social media, the Iranian parliamentary speaker also thanked Pakistan’s military leadership, particularly Asim Munir, for contributing to the mediation process that helped facilitate the truce.

Ghalibaf described the ceasefire as a result of the resilience and unity of Hezbollah, emphasising that the group’s steadfastness played a key role in bringing about the agreement. However, he cautioned that the situation remains delicate and requires careful handling to ensure long-term stability.
“We will approach this ceasefire with caution and remain united until full success is achieved,” he said, adding that progress would be carried forward prudently to secure a lasting outcome.
The acknowledgment highlights Pakistan’s increasing diplomatic engagement in regional conflict resolution, particularly in the Middle East, where tensions have remained high in recent months. Islamabad’s role as a mediator has drawn attention as global and regional powers seek to de-escalate conflicts through dialogue.
Ghalibaf reiterated Iran’s commitment to its stance, stating that the country would remain firm on its principles while continuing to support efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region.
