Heavy rain and hailstorms swept across several regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir, causing disruptions in travel and daily life. The weather system brought sudden temperature drops, while authorities monitored conditions closely as further rainfall was forecast in the upper parts of the country.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain was recorded in Swat Valley, Karak, Malakand, Abbottabad, and Mansehra, while snowfall in Galiyat and Naran Valley significantly reduced temperatures. As a result, cold conditions intensified in mountainous areas, creating difficult travel conditions for both residents and tourists.

Meanwhile, rescue operations were carried out in Neelum Valley after a landslide trapped nearly 30 vehicles in the Sheikh Bela area. Emergency teams, along with police and local administration, successfully relocated stranded tourists to safer locations despite continued intermittent rainfall in the region.
In addition, landslides blocked sections of the Neelum Highway near Muzaffarabad, further disrupting connectivity in the area. Rainfall was also reported in upper regions of Ziarat Valley, including Toba Achakzai and Toba Kakari, while another landslide near Lachi Nala temporarily blocked the Karakoram Highway.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in northern regions over the coming days, warning that weather conditions may intensify further. At the same time, the National Disaster Management Authority has alerted authorities about possible heavy rainfall and snowfall in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir within the next 12 to 24 hours.
Officials have advised citizens and travellers to remain cautious due to slippery roads and increased risk of landslides, especially in hilly areas. Consequently, travel disruptions are expected to continue, while emergency teams remain on alert to respond quickly to any developing situations across affected regions.
