Published on: April 21, 2026 10:30 PM

The US Indo-Pacific Command has seized another vessel in a maritime operation in the Pacific Ocean. The action targets a sanctioned oil tanker operating in international waters. The move reflects ongoing US efforts to curb illegal maritime networks.

According to the US Department of Defense, the vessel was identified as a sanctioned oil tanker named MT Tiffany. US forces conducted the operation without any resistance from the crew. Moreover, the ship was intercepted during routine naval monitoring operations.

The Pentagon said the seizure is part of a wider crackdown on illegal maritime trade networks. It added that such operations aim to enforce international sanctions and maritime law. Additionally, officials confirmed continued surveillance in key shipping routes.

US authorities said operations against illicit sea networks will continue globally. They emphasized coordination with allied forces in maintaining maritime security. However, no further details were provided about the ship’s cargo or destination.
