Gold prices down by Rs 1,000 per tola

The prices of gold declined in the local market on Tuesday, with 24 karat gold per tola decreasing by Rs 1,000 to settle at Rs 500,162 compared to Rs 501,162 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 857 to Rs 428,808 from Rs 429,665, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 785 to Rs 393,088 against Rs 393,873. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $10 to $4,778 per ounce from $4,788. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 59 to Rs 8,358 from Rs 8,417, while the price of 10 grams of silver also declined by Rs 51 to Rs 7,165 from Rs 7,216. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $0.59 to $78.74 per ounce from $79.33.
