According to an advisory card released by the bureau, citizens are strongly advised to use only legal and verified visa channels when traveling abroad. It emphasized that individuals should ensure their documentation is complete and authentic to avoid legal complications.
The advisory further warned Pakistanis already residing in Cyprus to comply fully with local immigration rules. It noted that authorities in Cyprus have tightened enforcement measures, making the situation increasingly strict for foreign nationals.
Officials highlighted that asylum approval rates in Cyprus are currently among the lowest in Europe, with more than 93% of asylum applications reportedly being rejected. This reflects stricter border controls and heightened scrutiny of immigration cases.
The statement also pointed out that a significant number of foreign nationals were deported in 2025, including Pakistani citizens. Authorities in Cyprus have reportedly intensified action against individuals overstaying their visas or violating residency conditions.
The Bureau of Immigration stressed that undocumented or illegal migration routes should be avoided at all costs. It warned that involvement in such practices could result in detention, deportation, and long-term travel bans.
Citizens were urged to keep their legal documents updated and avoid any form of illegal activity while staying abroad. The advisory also directed individuals to seek guidance through official government websites and verified social media platforms for accurate information.
