Published on: May 2, 2026 2:05 AM

On the occasion of Labour Day, Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Busniess District Punjab (CBD Punjab), paid heartfelt tribute to the nation’s labour force, recognizing their indispensable role in driving Pakistan’s development and progress. To commemorate the day, the authority released a special documentary titled “Quam Kay Mammar – Humara Waqaar”, dedicated to the tireless efforts and enduring spirit of workers across the country.

The documentary sheds light on the resilience, dedication and commitment of labour workers, portraying them as the true architects of national growth. It highlights how their contributions, often carried out behind the scenes, form the backbone of infrastructure, industry and urban development in Pakistan.

Through compelling visuals and narratives, the film captures the everyday struggles and achievements of workers who continue to shape the nation’s future.

CBD Punjab emphasized that the country’s progress and beautification would not have been possible without the relentless efforts of its labour force. Their contributions remain central to sustaining economic momentum and enabling long-term growth.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, stated, “Labour force are the backbone of our nation. Their hard work, dedication, and sacrifices are the foundation upon which our progress stands. ‘Quam Kay Mammar – Humara Waqaar’ is a tribute to their unwavering spirit and a reminder of the respect and recognition they rightfully deserve.”

Reaffirming its commitment, CBD Punjab highlighted its ongoing efforts to promote inclusive development, ensure safe and dignified working conditions, and acknowledge the contributions of workers in all its projects. The organization reiterated that empowering the labour force remains a key priority in building a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan.
