US-Pakistan-Iran Talks Continue Amid Ceasefire Negotiations

Published on: May 6, 2026 2:13 AM

Reports indicate that US-Pakistan-Iran talks continue amid ongoing ceasefire negotiations. According to Arab media, discussions are underway among Washington, Islamabad, and Tehran. Therefore, diplomatic channels remain active as all sides exchange proposals and explore possible solutions.

Moreover, Al Jazeera reported from Washington that negotiations are focused on multiple key issues. Officials are exchanging proposals and defining red lines. As a result, the talks are being described as complex but ongoing.

In addition, the United States insists on prioritizing Iran’s nuclear program in the discussions. American officials want this issue addressed before any other topic. Consequently, this demand remains a major sticking point in the negotiations.

On the other hand, Iranian representatives are pushing for different priorities. They want restrictions in Iranian waters to be lifted first. Thus, both sides are entering negotiations with contrasting demands and conditions.

Meanwhile, the report suggests cautious optimism that the talks are progressing. However, it also warns that any single incident could escalate tensions again. Therefore, the situation remains fragile despite diplomatic engagement.

Finally, reports from Washington and Israel mention discussions about a possible short conflict lasting two to three weeks. Analysts suggest such a scenario could aim to pressure Iran into negotiations. In conclusion, US-Pakistan-Iran talks continue amid ceasefire negotiations, but uncertainty still surrounds the outcome.
