Turkey Introduces Yildirim Han Long Range Missile At Defense Expo

Turkey has unveiled its first intercontinental ballistic missile, Yildirim Han, at a major defense exhibition in Istanbul. The announcement marks a significant step in the country’s defense development. Therefore, officials highlighted the system as part of Turkey’s growing military capabilities.

Moreover, the missile was presented during the SAHA 2026 International Defense and Aerospace Exhibition. According to Turkish media, it was developed by the Defense Ministry’s research and development center. As a result, the project reflects increasing investment in advanced military technologies.

In addition, reports say the Yildirim Han missile can reach speeds up to Mach 25. It can strike targets at a range of about 6,000 kilometers. Consequently, experts consider it a high-speed and long-range strategic weapon.

Furthermore, the missile uses liquid nitrogen tetroxide as fuel. It is equipped with four rocket engines to enhance performance. Thus, it is being described as one of Turkey’s most advanced missile platforms.

Meanwhile, the exhibition in Istanbul featured several defense companies and government institutions. They showcased innovations across multiple sectors. These included missile systems, drones, air defense, aviation, and space technologies.

Finally, analysts say the unveiling comes as Turkey expands its defense industry. The country is investing heavily in modern military systems. In conclusion, Turkey unveils first intercontinental ballistic missile Yildirim Han, signaling a major advancement in its defense strategy.
