Mohsin Naqvi details Marka-e-Haq Operation gains

Published on: May 7, 2026 7:15 PM

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan achieved success in the Marka-e-Haq Operation with divine support and strong coordination across military and intelligence agencies. He stated that key enemy targets were within Pakistan’s operational reach during the confrontation. His remarks came during a press briefing in Islamabad alongside Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry.

Naqvi said Indian drones entered Pakistani airspace in limited numbers but were largely intercepted and destroyed at the border. He added that Pakistan’s Rangers and armed forces effectively neutralized aerial and cyber threats during the operation. Moreover, he claimed India’s cyber capabilities failed to match Pakistan’s defensive response throughout the Marka-e-Haq Operation.

The minister emphasized that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies played a central role in the Marka-e-Haq Operation. He said real-time intelligence sharing provided a strategic advantage during critical phases of the conflict. Furthermore, he noted that the precision and speed of information flow surprised even internal stakeholders. He credited this coordination for strengthening operational preparedness.

Naqvi alleged that Pakistan focused on military targets while India targeted civilian areas during the confrontation. He claimed Pakistani drones monitored sensitive locations inside India during the operation. Additionally, he said major Indian military and strategic installations were within Pakistan’s reach. He added that pressure from Pakistan’s response eventually led to de-escalation and ceasefire efforts.

The interior minister also credited international diplomatic engagement for reducing tensions after the Marka-e-Haq Operation. He claimed US President Donald Trump played a role in preventing further escalation. Meanwhile, he praised Pakistan’s media for maintaining national unity and consistent messaging during the crisis. He warned that any future aggression would be met with an even stronger response.
