Published on: May 10, 2026 2:40 AM

Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday expressed gratitude on the completion of one year of “Maarka-e-Haq”, paying tribute to its heroes and saying the people, government and armed forces of Pakistan stood united like “Bunyan-un-Marsoos”.

The chief minister paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Air Marshal Babar Zaheer and Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their leadership and services.

In her message, she said the “8-0 victory” in Maarka-e-Haq would never be forgotten by the enemy, adding that the world had witnessed Pakistan’s victory and India’s defeat.

She said the operation had left a lasting impression of Pakistan’s strength on the enemy and proved that while Pakistan was peace-loving, it could also respond with unity and resolve whenever required.

Calling Maarka-e-Haq a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s history, the chief minister said the world saw the entire nation standing united against the enemy. She added that the unity between the armed forces and the people forced the enemy to bow before Pakistan’s resolve.

CM Punjab further added that bold leadership laid the foundation for the historic success in Maarka-e-Haq. She said that patriotic Pakistanis across the world were celebrating the victory, while celebrations were being held in every city, village and street of Punjab.

The chief minister said students, teachers, traders, lawyers, politicians and farmers, along with people from all walks of life, were celebrating the success of Maarka-e-Haq. She also praised the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces, saying the country’s “Shaheens” demonstrated their superiority over the enemy through exceptional military skills.

Separately, Maryam Nawaz on Saturday expressed gratitude over the successful operations conducted against Fitna Al-Khawarij in Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.

She paid tribute to the security forces for sending five terrorists to their “logical end” during the successful operations.

The chief minister lauded the bravery and professionalism of the security personnel and said the entire nation was proud of the sacrifices being rendered by the armed forces for the protection of the country and maintenance of peace.
