
Sohail Afridi met Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad on Friday to discuss the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa amid growing concerns over recent militant attacks in the province.

According to reports, the chief minister arrived at the residence of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief along with a delegation. During the meeting, Sohail Afridi offered condolences over the martyrdom of Maulana Idris and expressed sympathy with Fazlur Rehman and his family.
The chief minister also offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks. The meeting later focused on the security challenges facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where incidents of terrorism and violence have raised concerns among political and security circles in recent months.
Both leaders held detailed discussions on the prevailing law and order situation and reviewed measures related to peace and stability in the province. They also expressed concern over recent terrorist attacks and stressed the need for collective efforts to improve security conditions.
In addition to security matters, the two leaders discussed issues related to provincial rights and administrative affairs concerning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussions reportedly included matters linked to governance, development, and coordination between political stakeholders.
The meeting highlighted ongoing consultations between political leaders on key national and provincial challenges, particularly security-related developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman hosted a dinner in honour of the chief minister and the accompanying delegation.
