Speaking on the matter, the PML-N lawmaker said he possesses complete records to support his claims and alleged that the situation is being misrepresented. He maintained that the issue has been taken out of context and is now being used to create a false narrative against him.

In response to access Momina Iqbal’s allegations, Punjab Assembly member Saqib Iqbal Chaddar says he has not made even a single call to Momina in the past eight months. He said that her future husband called him and threatened him after seeing a video on her phone. pic.twitter.com/4oz7qJsznw

Chadhar further alleged that the actress’s fiancé reacted strongly after viewing a video related to the matter and issued threats against him. He added that he has already filed a complaint at a local police station regarding the alleged threats.

The lawmaker also claimed that he recently learned Momina Iqbal is planning to get married. He said that her mother had contacted him and apologised, while challenging the actress to present evidence of any alleged communication or calls between them.

The controversy has drawn political and public attention, with senior officials also weighing in on the matter. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had earlier described the dispute as a “personal matter” and said it should be resolved strictly on merit and in accordance with the law.

She also warned that individuals involved in harassment, intimidation, or blackmail would not be spared, emphasizing that no one is above the law regardless of their position or political affiliation.

Authorities have reiterated that any attempt to misuse influence or threaten the release of private material would be dealt with strictly under the law, and institutions will ensure impartial handling of the case.
