According to a report attributed to Al Jazeera, India’s 2016 declaration aimed at diplomatically isolating Pakistan has failed to achieve its intended objectives. The report suggests that Pakistan has maintained and expanded its engagement with key global powers, including the United States, China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

The analysis states that Pakistan has emerged as an important regional actor with growing influence in diplomatic and security matters. It adds that Islamabad is increasingly being viewed as a relevant stakeholder in regional stability, particularly in South and West Asia.
The report further claims that during the 2025 India-Pakistan tensions, Pakistan managed to strengthen its international narrative and counter diplomatic pressure. It argues that global responses to key incidents were not uniformly aligned with India’s position, and that international actors called for restraint and verification of claims.
It also highlights Pakistan’s strategic partnership with China, describing it as a significant factor shaping regional geopolitics. Additionally, it notes improvements in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations following political changes in Dhaka, suggesting a broader shift in regional diplomatic alignments.
The report further states that Pakistan is increasingly being seen as a potential security partner by Gulf countries, reflecting deepening ties in areas of defence cooperation, energy, and investment.
On the other hand, it claims that India’s international image has been affected by its domestic and foreign policy decisions, particularly those perceived as controversial in the context of regional politics.
The analysis also references growing global interest in Pakistan’s mineral resources, investment opportunities, and diplomatic positioning, suggesting that these factors have contributed to renewed engagement from international stakeholders, including policymakers in Washington.
