
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has issued a weather alert for Punjab, forecasting rain, strong winds, and hailstorms across multiple districts from June 2 to June 5. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious as changing weather conditions could affect daily activities, transportation, and outdoor work in several parts of the province.
According to the advisory, a widespread weather system is expected to bring rainfall to most districts of Punjab during the four-day period. Cities and regions likely to receive rain include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Faisalabad, along with several neighboring areas.

The forecast also includes Jhang, Okara, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Khushab, and Mandi Bahauddin. In addition, Sialkot, Narowal, and surrounding districts may experience thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and hail, raising concerns about potential disruptions and property damage.
To ensure preparedness, the PDMA has issued alerts to commissioners and deputy commissioners across the province. Local administrations have been directed to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise due to severe weather conditions.

PDMA Director General Umar Javed advised citizens to avoid open spaces during thunderstorms and seek shelter in safe locations to reduce the risk of lightning-related incidents. He also urged the public to limit unnecessary travel during periods of intense weather and follow official safety instructions at all times.
Furthermore, farmers have been encouraged to take precautionary measures to protect crops and equipment from possible storm damage. Tourists planning trips to northern areas have also been advised to remain alert, as authorities continue monitoring the weather system to safeguard lives and minimize losses during the expected rain and hail spell.
