A high-level virtual meeting was held between the Government of Sindh, Home department and a delegation from the United States Government to discuss ongoing cooperation in strengthening law enforcement capacity, public safety, and security initiatives in Sindh at Home department Karachi.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Inspector General of Sindh Javed Alam Odho, the Special Secretary Home Saeed Shaikh, DIG Faizullah Korejo, Coordinator to Home Minister Bilal Shaikh and senior officials of the Home Department and Sindh Police, along with representatives of the US delegation and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Bureau.

During the meeting, participants appreciated the longstanding partnership between the Government of Sindh, Sindh Police, and the US Government. The discussions focused on enhancing public safety, strengthening the rule of law, and improving operational capabilities of law enforcement agencies, particularly in vulnerable and high-risk areas.

The meeting highlighted the security challenges faced in the Katcha region and emphasized the need for enhanced mobility, operational readiness, and modern policing resources to effectively counter organized criminal networks and improve law enforcement effectiveness.

Participants noted that the assistance and support initiatives are aimed not only at providing equipment and resources but also at strengthening institutions, building professional capacity, and promoting sustainable law enforcement practices.

The additional Home Secratry Sindh reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, accountability, transparency, and dedicated service to the people of Sindh. The importance of international cooperation and strategic partnerships in addressing evolving security challenges was also underscored.

The participants expressed confidence that continued collaboration between Sindh Police, the Home Department, and international partners will contribute to safer communities, enhanced public trust, and improved security outcomes across the province. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all stakeholders for their continued support and a shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the interest of public safety and regional stability.
