Trump: Heavy Iran strike, oil seizure planned

Published on: June 11, 2026 6:47 PM

Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump has said the United States will launch a heavy attack on Iran. The statement matters because it signals a sharp escalation in already high US-Iran tensions. Iran, regional energy markets, and global security conditions are directly affected.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed Iran’s military capabilities had been severely weakened. He said Iran’s navy, air force, and radar systems were already destroyed. He added that the United States would carry out intense strikes on Iran soon. However, no official military confirmation was provided.

Trump further claimed that the United States would target Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure. He suggested that control over key energy facilities could follow future operations. He referenced strategic sites including Iran’s oil export hubs. The statements were presented without operational details or timelines.

The remarks also compared US actions with previous interventions in other countries. Trump said similar outcomes had been achieved elsewhere, according to his view. His comments have raised concern over potential escalation in the Gulf region. Analysts warn such rhetoric could heighten market and diplomatic uncertainty.

Meanwhile, US and Iranian tensions remain high amid ongoing regional instability. Governments and global markets are closely monitoring developments for signs of escalation. No official response from Iranian authorities was immediately included in the statement context. Further clarification is expected from Washington and Tehran.
