Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi seeks to shield business amid royal scrutiny

Published on: June 20, 2026 5:00 PM

Princess Beatrice husband steps in to protect family from big loss

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is reportedly taking steps to protect his business interests amid renewed scrutiny surrounding the British royal family and ongoing public attention on his wife, Princess Beatrice.

According to recent media reports, concerns have emerged over the potential impact that controversies linked to Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew, could have on the couple’s public image and professional activities. The reports suggest that discussions surrounding the family’s living arrangements and financial matters have intensified following claims regarding support connected to their royal residence.

Royal commentator Paula Froelich, speaking on a podcast, claimed that Mozzi is keen to distance his business operations from any controversy associated with Prince Andrew. She suggested that the property developer is focused on safeguarding the reputation of his company and avoiding any negative effects that ongoing scrutiny could have on his professional ventures.

Froelich argued that Mozzi’s concerns are largely business-related, given the growth of his property development career in recent years. She alleged that he views continued association with controversy as a potential risk to his commercial interests and public standing.

The reports come amid continued speculation in sections of the media about the couple’s personal life, although neither Beatrice nor Mozzi has publicly commented on the claims. Recent attention has also focused on Mozzi’s frequent business travel, which attracted criticism from some commentators.

Addressing those concerns, Mozzi previously stated that travelling for work is a normal part of running a business and is common across many industries. His remarks were interpreted as a response to criticism over solo trips undertaken while his wife faced increased public attention.

Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the couple have issued official statements regarding the latest claims. As a result, many of the reports remain based on commentary and media speculation rather than confirmed developments.
