Hajj registrations surpass 200,000 in 11 days

Published on: July 3, 2026 10:52 PM

More than 200,000 Pakistanis have completed online registration for Hajj within the first 11 days of the registration campaign. Most applicants selected the government Hajj scheme through the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ digital platforms. The figures reflect strong public interest and growing adoption of online services for Hajj applications.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, around 180,000 applicants registered through the official web portal, while another 24,000 used the dedicated mobile application. Officials said the online system is designed to simplify the registration process and improve accessibility for intending pilgrims. The ministry encouraged applicants to complete the process before the official deadline.

Official data showed that more than 154,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while nearly 49,000 chose the private Hajj scheme. Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations with 95,000 applicants, followed by Sindh with 63,000. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa registered approximately 28,000 applicants, while Islamabad accounted for around 9,000 registrations.

Meanwhile, Balochistan recorded about 5,500 registrations, followed by 1,200 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 600 from Gilgit-Baltistan. The ministry also reported that 119,000 men and 84,500 women have completed the registration process. The figures indicate broad participation from across the country.
