MILAN: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have officially tied the knot in a private ceremony in Milan, Italy, according to Filmfare.
A few days back the couple’s families flew off to Italy, this made one thing for certain that the two stars were up to some secret bonding – probably walking down the aisle of some majestic resort in Tuscany.
All the news surrounding their matrimonial ever since the couple started dating and broke headlines, has now nipped us right in the bud.
Though there is no confirmation of the news by any of the couple’s representatives, an insider told the tabloid that the wedding ceremony took place on Monday morning amongst close family and friends.
The source added that the couple will make the official announcement at 8 PM in the evening tonight.
It is interesting to note here that last week Anushka’s spokesperson put the marriage ‘rumours’ to rest, calling them untrue.
“There is absolutely no truth to it,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying.
Virat and Anushka’s hot and cold relationship has often been the subject of scrutiny by fans. The two reunited in early 2016 after Kohli hit back at trolls for targeting Anushka over his batting form.
