Zardari slams Nawaz, terms Kashmir ‘jugular vein’ of Pakistan in Mochi Gate rally

Published on: February 5, 2018 10:29 PM

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said that the party will witness a clean sweep in the upcoming general elections 2018.

Addressing a party rally at Mochi Gate ground in Punjab’s captial, the former president said that PPP will triumph in all corners of the country during the coming elections. “We will win from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab,” said Zardari.

Taking jibes at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Zardari said that he can topple the PML-N federal government anytime. He also criticised the party leaders for failing to recognise the idea behind the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC). “They think it is a loan taking scheme,” he said.

Zardari also termed Indian-occupied Kashmir as the ‘jugular vein’ of Pakistan, and added that the PPP would not leave the region alone against the Indian atrocities like others have.
