Pakistan former skipper Younis Khan has thrown his weight behind the demand for the selection of all-rounder Fawad Alam in the team.
“Fawad would have been in my test squad if I were the captain,” said the former skipper, adding it is tragic that the all-rounder is consistently being ignored by the selection committee despite performing well in domestic cricket.
Fawad has been excluded from Pakistan Test squad announced for the upcoming England and Ireland tours starting from next month.
He dismissed the criticism on Fawad’s batting technique saying every player performs with his particular technique.
He also talked about the “tough playing condition” in England and said Pakistan could struggle in those conditions.
