Are Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid back together, only a month after announcing their March split?

Published on: May 1, 2018 6:53 PM

It seems like Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have rekindled their romance only just a month after parting ways.

The couple sparked reconciliation rumours when they were photographed while kissing on a lunch date in New York City last weekend.

A little over a month ago, Malik and Hadid announced that they had split after two years of dating each other, with both posting statements of mutual love and respect while claiming that they had come to this decision together.

Malik, a former member of British boy band One Direction, and Hadid, a model for Victoria’s Secret, Fendi and Tommy Hilfiger, gave no reason as such for their split.

Malik, 25, said in a post on his Twitter handle that he and Hadid “had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship” and that he had huge admiration for her “as a woman and a friend.”

On the other hand, Hadid, 22, wished Malik all the best for his future, saying, “I’m forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons that Z and I shared.”

The couple started dating in late 2015 and became one of the most sought-after celebrity couples after they made an appearance in Malik’s romantic Pillowtalk video in January 2016.

They went public with their relationship as they appeared together at the Met Gala in May 2016 and then were photographed together on the August 2017 cover of Vogue magazine.

Earlier, according to E! Online, the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker said he was “really excited” to be featured On Air With Ryan Seacrest to promote his new single Let Me, stating that he wrote the lyrics for the track “about seven or eight months ago,” when he was dating Hadid.

The ex-One Directioner further added that he wrote the song when he was in love.”I think that’s pretty evident. I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do.” He continued, “Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that’s what I was thinking when I wrote it.”

Let Me was released on April 12, 2018.
