CJP throws Session Judge’s cell phone, orders immediate transfer in Larkana

Published on: June 23, 2018 3:01 PM

LARKANA: Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar on Saturday burst out with anger at an additional district and sessions court judge, ordering his immediate transfer.

During a surprise visit  to the sessions court in Larkana, CJP Nisar, irked by Additional District and Sessions Judge Shyam Lal’s cellpone on the table, picked it up and threw it back on the table.

Nisar seemed to have lost his temper just as he spotted Lal’s mobile phone on his table. He warned the judge to leave behind his phone during hearing in the court.

Moreover, Nisar went on questioned Lal in rage, regarding the case being heard, which the session’s judge failed to respond to with unsatisfactory answers.

Nisar, infuriated with Lal’s failure to answer his questions regarding the case being heard, ordered his immediate transfer remarking that “We cannot compromise on judicial respect”.

CJP Nisar was accompanied by Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh during the visit.

Earlier today, CJP Saqib Nisar had visited Chandka Medical College and Hospital where he reviewed the cleanliness and infrastructure situation of various departments.

CJP observed the poor laboratory conditions and garbage dumps around the Urology department.

Justice Saqib infuriated over hospital administration, directed the medical superintendent to ensure hygiene in the hospital .

Furthermore, CJP directed the medical staff to ensure the facility of quality treatment for patients.
