PTI women hold anti-corruption rally in Jacobabad

Published on: June 28, 2018 5:51 PM

JACOBABAD: A large number of women affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took out a mammoth rally against corruption here today.

The participants of the rally started walking from District Council Road while after strolling various routes of the city they culminated at Deputy Commissioner Chowk.

The rally was led by Maliha Soomro, the sister of former caretaker Prime Minister and former senate chairman Muhammad Mian Soomro, and Raaz Khan Pathan, the senior PTI leader Jacobabad chapter.

Addressing the participants, the speakers said that a few influential people of district have left the city in devastated condition owing to which people have been suffering many difficulties and therefore they [corrupt people] should be accountable.

“They [responsible of corruption] will have to suffer prison,” said the speakers adding that the corrupt people looted billions of rupees in the name of development schemes while people of Jacobabad were forced to bear hardships including clean drinking water, health facilities, forced load shedding and unemployment.
Speakers further alleged that people of Jacobabad have been deprived from basis rights while previous government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has failed to fulfill their promises.

Maliha Soomro, urged the people of Jacobabad to caste their vote on 25th July on the day of general election in favour of Muhammad Mian Soomro for the prosperity of Jacobabad claiming Soomro family always served for people of Jacobabad and such services would continue in future.

“PTI is the only party that believes in change and will take Pakistan to the path of prosperity,” she added.
