Janvhi Kapoor has proven the critics wrong by her scintillating performance in ‘Dhadak’. The film is receiving positive responses from all over the country and has managed to collect Rs 19.75 crores in just two days.
With its opening day business of Rs 8.71 crores it has also become the highest opener at the box office featuring debutants. The previous one was also a Dharma Production film ‘Student of the year’ which collected Rs 8 crore on its opening day.
Credit goes to Janvhi for giving such a wonderful performance despite the loss of her mother and the pressure she was in because of the expectations because of the background she came for.
‘Dhadak’ was praised by media and well as critics. When she was asked about the overwhelming response of audience she said. “I got the best compliment from my director Shashank Khaitan when he told me that he is proud of me. But more than that, I feel the kind of overwhelming response that we are getting here is the biggest compliment for all of us.
“I don’t think I am a star as of now, I am just trying to be an actor.”
‘Dhadak’ is the remake of 2016 Marathi language film ‘Sairat’. According to sources the film will easily cross 50 crore landmark in next seven days.
