Published on: July 30, 2018 8:20 PM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) supremo Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Monday held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and pledged support to the latter’s party in Centre and Punjab.

PML-Q has four National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly seats.

In the meeting, the top brass of PML-Q assured that all of their MPA and MNA-elects would support PTI to form the federal and provincial governments.

The two parties also decided a formula according to which they will form a coalition in Punjab and Centre.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had also sought PML-Q’s support.

PTI claims to have majority in Punjab, Centre

After the meeting, PTI’s spokesman Fawad Chaudhry told the media that PTI had got the required seats to form government in Punjab and Centre.

PTT’s tally in Punjab Assembly has reached at 149, claimed the spokesman.

In the National Assembly, PTI enjoys the support of 160 candidates, said Fawad, adding the party will get the required seats to form government.

He also told that Jehangir Khan Tareen was given a task to convince Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) to make coalition with PTI.

In July 25 elections, Imran Khan’s PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National and Khyber PakhtunKhwa assembly.
