Imagine you just opened your eyes after a good night’s sleep and just as your got up and stepped foot on the floor, you see a 3ft long Python smiling at you.
This ‘fright of a life’ is exactly what a woman in Kensington, London had to go through. She immediately rushed out of her room, locked it and called an animal collection officer to take the unwanted guest away.
However, when officer Jill Sanders arrived at the scare scene, the animal, said to be a pet, had slithered away, only to be found laying nicely in the corridor the next day.
The officer advised all pet owners, especially lovers of snakes, to keep a good check on their animals.
“Reptiles, particularly snakes, can be extremely good escape artists and will take the opportunity of a gap in an enclosure door, or a loose-fitting lid,” he said.
The good news is, all is well that ends well.
