Fawad Chaudhry denies deal behind Nawaz Sharif’s release

Published on: September 20, 2018 8:21 PM

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday has denied any deal behind the release of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a press conference Fawad Chaudhry said that the former primer was out on a bail and case against him had not concluded yet.

The information minister said that Nawaz Sharif is not that important neither for Pakistan nor for Saudi Arabia that he would be discussed and no deal was made with Saudi Arabia in this regard.

He said that government would not let Nawaz Sharif go abroad and his sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz and former finance minister Ishaq Dar would be brought back to Pakistan.

Fawad further said that Pm Imran Khan does not believe in any deal and no concession will be given to Nawaz Sharif. Prime minister has no personal issues with Sharif family, he added.

Earlier, former prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar were released from Adiala jail on Wednesday evening after Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended their sentences in Avenfield reference case.
