DUBAI: Former captain and senior player Shoaib Malik on Tuesday said that players need to individually assess their performance to bring positive results.
Shoaib Mail said that after back-to-back defeats against India everyone in the dressing room was disappointment.
He said that it is natural to have pressure while playing a strong side but as a player he does not look which side is strong or underdog on the ground.
Malik said that the team sat together and discussed the shortcoming in match against India.
“If two or three bowlers or batsmen give a performance on the match day they can take the match in their favor,” he added.
Malik further stated that in-form batsmen are responsible to extend their performance as performance is not the responsibility of the board, management or selection committee.
Pakistan will play its next game against Bangladesh in the Super 4 phase of Asia Cup 2018. The match has significant importance as the winning side will qualify for the final of the tournament against India.
