HYDERABAD: In connection to World Children Day, University of Sindh, Jamshoro in collaboration with Child Rights Movement (CRM), Civil Society Support Program (CSSP) organized an interesting sports program for SOS Village Jamshoro.

The program was organized at Haider Bux Jatoi pavilion, University of Sindh, Jamshoro. On the auspicious occasion, Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat was the chief guest of the program.

Speaking at the occasion, VC Sindh University said that major portion of county’s population consist of children. We should pay proper attention to their education and special training programs should be arranged for their stability.

The VC said that the purpose to celebrate world Children’s day is to create awareness among children about their rights.

He said that the rationale behind celebrating children’s day is to express love and unity for their equal rights in the society. In modern era, a large number of children in the world have been deprived of education including other fundamental rights.

“We must pay proper attention to children and their upbringing. Children are architect of future and the survival of the nations. If we ignore them, we will ignore the future of the nation,” said Dr Burfat.

Children of SOS Village Jamshoro are our children. We all are their guardians. University of Sindh has always played a vital role in providing them quality education, and will continue in the future.

Among distinguished guests, Executive Director of Civil Society Support Program, Mr Noor Muhammed Bajeer, and Coordinator of Child Rights Movement, Mr Kashif Bajeer were also present.
