LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lhaore has arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) senior leader and Punjab Local Govt and Community Development Minister Aleem Khan on Wednesday.

Aleem Khan has been arrested by NAB Lahore in connection with offshore companies scandal and assets beyond means case.

The PTI leader Aleem Khan has sent his resignation to the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar after his arrest.

NAB will present Aleem Khan for remand in the accountability court on February 7.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan hailed Aleem Khan‘s volunteer resign following NAB detention and said that everything should be proceeded as per the law.

Earlier, PTI leader said that he had provided the details of his assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

“I never ever committed corruption of a single penny or held a piece of land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he clarified.
