Published on: March 28, 2019 4:34 AM

The contingents of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will participate in the 72nd Punjab Games 2019 on the invitation of the Sports Board Punjab (SBP) to show solidarity with Punjab. The 72nd edition of the Punjab Games is being organised jointly by the SBP and the Punjab Olympic Association here at various venues in Lahore from April 3 to 6.

Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said on Wednesday that holding of Punjab Games was being admired across the country. “The Punjab Games will help in flourishing of the sports culture in the country,” he added. “We are all set to welcome contingents of other provinces. The participation of other provinces in Punjab Games will definitely be a landmark development in the sporting history of province,” he added. The DG Sports Board Punjab further said the culture of brotherhood would also grow among the people of the country due to the participation of other provinces in the Punjab Games. “The sports skills of our players will also be developed after playing against the players of other provinces,” he added.
