Firdous Ashiq Awan citicises the role of Ghulam Sarwar

Published on: April 24, 2019 8:03 PM

The reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan in his federal cabinet had caused conflicts between the ministers. Recently there was an exchange of war of words between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan and Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

Ghulam Sarwar was given the aviation ministry and was removed from his post as the federal minister for petroleum. SAPM criticised his role in the petroleum ministry.

She commented on Tuesday, “The petroleum ministry was looted, that’s why the minister was changed.”

Ghulam Sarwar reacted to her comment and termed it as “irresponsible”.

The federal cabinet last week underwent a major reshuffle with the resignation of Asad Umar as finance minister and appointment of Hafeez Shaikh as Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance. Minister of Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar was assigned the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Many other ministries were also changed in this reshuffle.
