CM Buzdar claims PTI govt is not ‘wasting a single moment’

Published on: May 12, 2019 2:30 AM

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, on Saturday, noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was trying to fix Pakistan’s problems dating back to over 70 years.

Talking to delegations at the CM office, he called these problems temporary that would end soon.

“The PTI is striving for permanent and sustainable progress in the country,” he added.

CM Buzdar noted, “A lot of hard work has been done to put the country on the right track during the last nine months.”

He claimed that not a single moment had been wasted, and they were moving forward.

Lofty claims of the past were not being repeated and replaced with practical steps.

“Negative politics of disappointed people have been exposed to the 22 crore people of Pakistan,” he added.

The CM asserted that the time of politics of loot and plunder had passed as now a transparent leadership and a transparent government were in place.

Unfortunately, symbolic projects had been done in the past instead of focusing on welfare and development of the people, the Chief Minister claimed.

He continued, “The people are facing consequences of the wrong policies of the past rulers.”

The past rulers were said to have started projects in the health and education sector but did not complete them.

Buzdar noted, “Several of welfare and development projects in the past have been put in the cold storage, and criminal negligence has been committed.”

According to CM Buzdar, those who have ignored welfare and development projects should be answerable.

‘We will ensure the provision of best and standardized food’: Buzdar

He said that the PTI government had once again started work on welfare and development projects. Therefore, the people would get better health and education facilities once these projects complete, he believed.

Buzdar stated that deprivations of the poor areas would be removed and the living standards of the needy segments would soon improve.

“We will (perform) up to expectations of the people,” he declared.

In a similar development, Sardar Buzdar, on Saturday, took notice of an attack on the team of the Punjab Food Authority in the Ghala Mandi area of Multan; seeking a report from Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO).

He also called for an immediate arrest of the accused.

CM Buzdar asked for immediate action against those involved in the attack as well as protection for Punjab Food Authority teams.

He said the provision of pure and standardized food remained the priority of the Punjab government.

The contamination mafia should be eliminated at any cost, Punjab CM noted.

He added that those who contaminate the food deserved no leniency.

“We will ensure the provision of best and standardized food to the people,” Buzdar pledged.

He declared the Punjab Food Authority should continue its efforts against the contamination mafia without discrimination.

Pure food was said to be the right of every citizen, and the government would provide every possible support to the Punjab Food Authority.

In a special message given to commemorate Mother’s Day, Sardar Buzdar called mother a great blessing of Allah Almighty. In fact, the mother was the name of a true and real relationship, he added.

According to CM Buzdar, there was no substitute for the selfless relationship of the mother.

Calling the lap of mother the first learning place for a child, he maintained that the holy and noble relationship did not need a specific day. Every day was a day to honour and respect mothers, he continued.

“Service to mother is like worship. We can earn blessings of this world and hereafter by providing care and respect to the mother,” CM Buzdar asserted.

Quoting his own example, he said he had gotten this position due to the prayers of his mother and he thanked Allah for this blessing.

Buzdar claimed, “Respect and honour(ing) mother is necessary to get blessings of Allah Almighty.”

The relationship of a mother with her child was said to be free of any lust, return and reward.

Punjab CM claimed that a mother played her best role in enabling her child to spend life in this world. “The prayers of mother end every pain and sorrow,” he reaffirmed.

The chief minister also expressed grief over the death of the mother of Punjab Housing Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.

In his condolence message, he expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.

He prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and courage to the family to bear this loss with fortitude.
