The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in collaboration with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has distributed food packages of 30kg each among 5,000 deserving people countrywide under the Ramazan Package.

In the current week, food packages will also be distributed among the deserving people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Lahore and Karachi. Under the initiative, a total of 5,130 deserving families have benefited from the package.

Two hundred food packages each were also distributed among the deserving people in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Sunday and Monday respectively.

A distribution ceremony was organised at the PRCS National Headquarters in which food packages were distributed among the deserving people and the PRCS staff. A delegation from the Kuwait Red Crescent Society comprising Yousef Al-Merag, Waleed Al-Rashid, Naser Al-Mutairi, Yousif Al-Duaijand Abdulhameed Eisa also attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, PRCS Secretary General Khalid Bin Majeed lauded the KRCS for its generous support to the human welfare initiatives. He said it is a matter of immense joy and pleasure for the Pakistani nation that the hearts of the people of Kuwait beat with them. He expressed the hope that the KRCS assistance for the unprivileged sections of society will continue in future.
