Sexual assault of a minor in Lahore, Punjab

A case regarding sexual assault was reported in the capital city Liaqatabad on Thursday.

The boy was 10 years old and he was working at a tailor shop.

The boy was asked by his master to bring some water from a nearby mosque. An older employ named Shahzaib followed him to the mosque. Shahzaib was 20 years old and he compelled the boy and “cornered him”.

The accused was sexually harassed by the employee and he warned the boy that he will shoot him, the boy if he told this to anyone. This was not the end of the victim’s trial.

The senior employ. “After wrapping up the work for the night” , the accused asked the boy that he would drop him to home. Instead of dropping the boy to home, he took the boy to the graveyard of Model Town and assaulted him once again.

After returning back home, the child told his father the entire incident and his father reported the case in the police. Police caught the accused after midnight by a raid at his house.

The father of the little boy became paralyzed in an accident and lost his legs. The boy was the helping-hand, the sole earner of his family.

An FIR for this case has been registered. Medical examination of the boy has been done by the officials and further investigation regarding the case is on-going.

So far this year

About 126 cases of the sexual assault of minors were reported in the provincial capital , Liaqatabad during the first seven months of 2019.

About two children were killed after being raped.

Statistical view by private source exhibits that 129 accused were successfully charged and  127 were arrested

Round-about 87 cases reported have completed the investigation, 22 cases are still under investigation and 22 are under investigation. On the other hand, two cases could not be traced at all.

Another case regarding rape and subsequent murder of a minor took place in Shadbagh and Sabzazar.

However, the convict of Sabzazar case during investigation climbed on the pole and died.
