Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Japan recently, attending several important meetings that drew attention on social media. While her diplomatic engagements were widely appreciated, her wardrobe quickly became the focus of public discussion. During her visit to Osaka for the World Expo 2025, Maryam Nawaz reportedly wore a pair of “Ferragamo” shoes priced at $27,900, approximately 7.9 million Pakistani rupees. However, no official confirmation has been provided regarding the exact price. The shoes drew widespread attention, with many expressing surprise at the extravagant cost.

Some social media users initially questioned the shoe price, claiming it was only $850. In response, news outlets clarified that the shoes are currently sold for $17,834, and after including import duties, the price reaches $27,900, equivalent to 7.9 million rupees. This explanation reignited the discussion online.

Maryam Nawaz also attended a dinner hosted in her honor by former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, a prominent businessman in the telecommunications sector. The event was attended by Thailand’s youngest female former Prime Minister, Paitoon Ngtaran Shinawatra, and Maryam Nawaz shared pictures from the gathering on social media. Her outfits received praise alongside curiosity about their prices.

In addition to her Ferragamo shoes, Maryam Nawaz carried a “Cartier” handbag valued at 1.2 million rupees. She also wore “Roger Vivier” shoes costing 440,000 rupees and chose a traditional Pakistani outfit from the brand “Parnian,” priced at 70,000 rupees. Her styling choices highlighted both international luxury and local fashion.

The combination of diplomacy and high-end fashion captured public attention, making Maryam Nawaz’s Japan visit a trending topic. Observers noted that while her political activities were important, her fashion choices became a talking point across social media platforms.
