The Foreign Ministry coordinated closely with Iranian and British officials to ensure the safe transit of the rescued individuals. According to Dar, the effort demonstrated Pakistan’s commitment to humanitarian responsibility and regional goodwill. He also appreciated the trust placed in Pakistan by the Iranian government.
The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency led the operation, overseeing reception, medical screening, documentation, and repatriation arrangements. Representatives from multiple institutions, including the Pakistan Navy and immigration authorities, also participated in the process. International stakeholders were present to ensure smooth coordination.
Officials said the operation follows a series of similar humanitarian efforts in recent months involving Pakistani and Iranian nationals. Pakistan has previously facilitated repatriations in coordination with international partners. Authorities emphasized that the welfare of distressed individuals at sea remains a priority.
