PTI govt dropped ‘inflation bomb’ in form of mini-budget: Shehbaz Sharif

Published on: September 24, 2018 7:30 PM

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has criticised the supplementary budget presented by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government terming it ‘anti-people’.

While speaking to a National Assembly session today, the PML-N president said that the PTI government has dropped the inflation bomb in the form of supplementary budget, adding that his party rejected the ‘anti-people’ budget.

Sharif also criticised government over increase in the price of gas and said the PML-N government had never increase gas tariffs in its tenure.

Moreover, he also took jibe at the government for ‘not welcoming the Chinese foreign minister properly’.

The PTI leaders had passed the statements against China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said the Punjab former chief minister, adding that the project is a linkage between China and Pakistan.

Sharif welcomed that establishment of a parliamentary commission to probe alleged rigging in the July 25 polls, adding that PTI came into power through rigging not through votes.
