Saeed Ghani slams Fawad Chaudhry over anti-PPP remarks

Published on: November 5, 2018 11:24 AM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Saeed Ghani criticised Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry saying that he should know that the provinces are autonomous.

Ghani’s comments were in response of Fawad’s accusations that the ruling party in Sindh was doing politics of ‘vengeance’. “The centre was held hostage for three days, where was Fawad Chaudhry then?” he said, referring to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protests against acquittal of Aasia Bibi.

He criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government saying that “centre and other provinces made government through alliances and lending’ but PPP refused to do any thing of that sort in Sindh.

The PPP leader continued that if Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader and Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar retreats then the PTI government will be in trouble.

Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Murtaza Wahab also slammed Chaudhry saying that he was trying to ‘divert attention from his shortcomings and failures as a minister’.

Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry had taken aim at the PPP saying that the party was doing ‘negative’ politics.
