Ahsan Iqbal: PTI aligned with India, Israel to tarnish Pakistan

Published on: November 29, 2025 6:15 PM

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of working with Israel and India to damage Pakistan’s image. He made the remarks during the Green Productivity Conference in Lahore. He said such actions are against national interests and cannot be considered patriotic.

Iqbal criticized PTI for supporting anti-Pakistan agendas abroad. He said promoting resolutions against Pakistan in the United States is a clear example of this alignment. He added that PTI’s collaboration with foreign powers harms the country’s reputation and unity.

The minister highlighted PTI’s political history, stating that during Imran Khan’s tenure, party policies and protests undermined state institutions. He recalled that supporters of other parties faced jail terms and media restrictions. According to him, PTI’s approach crosses the boundaries of responsible politics.

Iqbal also pointed to economic reforms, claiming India and PTI oppose IMF programs. He said the party’s resistance obstructs progress and complicates international cooperation. Furthermore, he noted that protests against military officials in the U.S. are unacceptable.
